I started out with a notion that some of my ham friends that build a
lot of antennas might be interested in calling my BBS, plugging in the
numbers and getting the results online. That would save them finding
their calculator to do the math. As far as that goes the program doesn't
do anything except to show the versatility of the wcCODE program from MSI.
version 1.2 Jan 16, 1996
Here is the RF................
Freeware............Whoa!!!!! What a concept.
Right to the scoop.
Unpack everything in a subdirectory. The wildcat default
would work just fine. c:\wildcat.....c:\antenna.....f:\wildcat
Run makemenu and set it to run the wcCode file antenna.wcx from a
menu item. If you have the wcCODE program from MSI the source is
included so you may want to modify things to match your board.
You as Sysop need to run the program the first to ensure the
configuration file is correctly created. The file antenna.dat is
included if you need a hint or Two. I run everything off drive
"f:\wildcat" but you may only have a drive "C:"
Edit the antenna.bbs file to get rid of the 2 lines below the
header, or put something of your own in there.
The source is not commeneted real well, but you shouldn't have a
lot of trouble figuring things out......If you need a custom setup
for Linux or Unix leave me a note on my BBS. I'll work on it as
time permits.....
The legal stuff...........
There is none. This program will work perfect on my machines.
However..... You run it at your own risk. It should not FORMAT your
hard drive, that is for your XYL to do. It is known to work with
version 4.11 from MSI but it has not been tried on any other platform.
If you have problems I may be able to help. Try my twisted pair
BBS at 217-774-3508 or 217-774-5978.... If that don't work try
E-mail to wb9qpm@gw.kb9fmn.ampr.org.
If you are interested I happen to have several programs on
the BBS that are related to Ham Radio. The board is free except
for the phone call. The modems "shake" from 1200 to 115,200 bps
any parity or word length. (8N1 or 7E2 or ....)
If you find this program usefull in any way I just ask
that you make some kind of an attempt to get another person or
group interested in being a "HAM".... Show them that computers
and radio's..... "JUST be a HAM!"
